Every year ahead of the Game Developers Conference, the show organizers run a survey in the entire industry, they pull creators around the entire world on what is happening and what could be happening in the future Gaming industry.

Well, what we did expect this year were Cryptocurrencies and NFTS that we’re going to be on the rise in the eyes of game developers. But that certainly isn’t the case this year.

People have gone crazy over everything, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and NFTS. They are very much in support of his new technologies as they could earn big with this kind of new tech coming up in the market. But people who are making games are less enthusiastic. The Game Developers Conference Published their state of the game Industry 2022 survey findings.

What these images are trying to tell us is that game developers are not into these new technologies as they are coming up. After they got the results from the people, The GDC asked many real developers for their thoughts publishing it anonymously. Here are what some of the people responded with.

2. How this hasn’t been identified as a pyramid scheme is beyond me.
3. Burn them to the ground. Ban everyone involved in them. I work at an NFT company currently and I’m quitting to get away from it.

We don’t know what will happen when big companies like Ubisoft, EA start asking developers to implement the technology in the games they make. Probably facing backlash? We don’t know yet, but currently, it seems like there’s a lot of negative energy and not a lot of good thoughts about NFTs and Cryptocurrencies in general.
