Apple Silicon transition is going be completed this year, good times ahead

Apple began transitioning away from Intel chips for Apple’s silicon in 2020. They started with the MacBook Air and the Mac Mini with Apple M1 chips. They were later introduced to the iPad too. Now they have included the chip in more devices in their lineup. Apple when announced their move of transitioning from Apple Silicon, they said that it would take about two years to complete the transition from Intel chips to Apple silicon. We suspect that Apple will conclude the process by WWDC 2022 in June.

The powerful new Mac mini and the large screen iMac Pro that will be coming in 2022 will also feature the Apple M1 chip. These changes will accelerate the transition making sure they’re done by 2022 WWDC. If it all works out it means that there are going to be many multiple Apple Mac devices this year getting launched. After launching MacBook Air and Pro models as well as Mac Mini and iMac powered by the M1 chipset, the company recently launched the MacBook Pro in 14″ and 16″ versions, both of which are powered by the new Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max chips.

Apple has already launched new MacBook Pro models as well as the Mac mini and the iMac. They will now be launching the normal MacBook Air with the new M1 chips.

We suspect that when Apple is done with the transition to their entire lineup being powered by Apple silicon independently, they will launch the M2 chipset as the direct successor to the M1 chip. We suspect that seeing such drastic changes already from switching Intel to M1, there isn’t going to be any drastic changes from M1 to M2.

The MacBook Air which will be part of the transition from Intel to M1 will also go through the biggest redesign in history, we are not sure about any design cues right now but we will update you when we do get information.
