MacBook Air going to be very weird Next Year…

Here are 5 Ways the Macbook Air 2022 is going to be very polarising.

The M2 chip will bring a big performance boost

When the next generation of Apple’s system on a chip, the M2 is released, it will be in the MacBook Air. Bloomberg says the M2 can hold eight CPU cores, with four performance cores and four efficiency cores, the M2 could also incorporate a single-core performance increase of roughly 10 percent and a multi-core CPU performance increase of 20 percent.

The big thing is that the M2 will have 10 graphics cores, two more than the M1. This is where we could see a better refinement. Apple’s chips use less power than Intel’s chips. The MacBook Air will surely stick with the fanless configuration, when the temperature does start to rise, the chip will throttle down its performance to stay stable at a more reasonable temperature.

A 1080p FaceTime camera

Apple finally upgraded the FaceTime camera to an improved 1080p version in the 24-inch iMac and new MacBook Pros, and we should see the same camera in the next MacBook Air. If so, the MacBook Air will perform much better in lower lighting situations and produce a far better overall image.

With slim bezels, the Air might carry on the notch introduced with the Pro. It’s also become a feature that’s instantly recognizable as an Apple one, which helps with brand recognition.

The design will be completely new

The slim design of the MacBook Air might end soon. Reports have said that the upcoming version will have a uniform design like the MacBook Pro. The MacBook Air will be very thin and light. The MacBook Air will also take on the MacBook Pro’s display design as well, with thinner bezels all around with a notch on the top. And they might not be black.

Apple might take the 24-inch iMac design and share it with the Macbook Air bringing white bezels and a keyboard for the first time since the iBook. It could also be available in many colors, might be the same color palette as the iMac.

MagSafe is back here!

MagSafe is a magnetic connector that can disconnect if the cord is given a good pull.

Information says that Apple can incorporate MagSafe in the next MacBook Air, which is a really good way to charge a laptop. Apple previously introduced the feature on the original MacBook but decided to discontinue it in 2016.

Tremendous Mini-LED display

The current MacBook Air has a normal LED display that could be switched out for a Mini-LED panel. Apple has used Mini LED tech in the iPad Pro previously and soon in the new MacBook Pros. Normal LED panels have been used in Apple’s MacBooks for so long that the change will be very much noticeable.

The Mini LED displays of the new MacBook Pro feature 1,000 nits of sustained brightness (1,600 max), and a 1,000,000-to-1 contrast ratio, That’s a massive leap from the 400 nits luminance and a considerably lower contrast ratio.
