Discord’s exclusive themes are unleashed with its $10 per month Nitro subscription.

During its most recent beta test, Discord is now allowing you to change the desktop app’s interface’s theme. Themes, one of its most popular features, have been added to the messaging app, and there are 16 pre-made ones available. What’s the bad news? Only those who pay for Nitro, its most expensive subscription option, will be able to use them.

There are other benefits to Nitro, including as a higher file-sharing cap, 4K and 60fps streaming, and the capacity to send messages up to 4,000 characters long. Nevertheless, if you don’t actually require any of them, you’ll have to decide if it’s worthwhile to pay $10 per month or $100 per year for the subscription tier in order to get access to Discord’s theme library.

By navigating to Appearance under Settings, you may select from the different colour schemes if you have been waiting for the option to become available and do decide to purchase Nitro. The major 16 options are now located in a new Color section that is located beneath the current Light and Dark themes. When you select the Preview Themes button to explore each choice before selecting one, there appears to be an additional secret colour scheme that you can see. You can utilise the preview button on Discord even if you don’t currently subscribe to Nitro, which is a blessing because it allows you to at least see what’s available before you make a purchase.
