The fourth season of Fortnite has begun following the battle royale’s third chapter’s spectacular conclusion. Players can engage in conflict over a brand-new island in chapter four. A few of its landmarks are inspired by fantasy imagery, such as The Citadel, a castle that serves as “The Ageless’” home. Additionally, there is Anvil Square, a charming mediaeval settlement encircled by trees that are at the height of their autumnal hues. The Frenzy Fields, an abandoned farm with a menacing name, can be found in another area of the island. A new gameplay change is also introduced in Chapter 4, and mobility might be the season’s overarching theme. Using Trail Thrashers, which are dirt bikes, you may manoeuvre and use your weapons while moving. By charging at obstacles now, you can also leap over them. Additionally, if there is snow where you are, you can make a snowball with a pickaxe. Then you can leap into the snowball and roll over your adversaries to defeat them.

The most intriguing innovation, though, is a function called Reality Augments. You will occasionally be given the option to pick between two random bonuses that you can keep up until your character dies or the game is won. You can reload guns that use light ammo more quickly with Light Fingers, one of the 22 Reality Augments that are now accessible at the start of the new season. Speaking of weaponry, you can try out a number of new ones, such as the Shockwave Hammer, which you may use to propel yourself towards your allies and adversaries.
Technically speaking, Epic has upgraded Fortnite to use the most recent Unreal Engine. Ray-traced reflections on glossy surfaces and water are something that gamers on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S can look forward to. Naturally, a new season also brings with it a brand-new battle pass for players to purchase and finish. The Doom Slayer from Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal as well as Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series are both included in the pass. Additionally, a skin for the Incredible Hulk will be available in the Item Shop “soon.” The fourth episode of season one can be viewed right now.
