Google Play Games is now available on PC



More nations, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore, now offer Google Play Games on PC. You can play a variety of Android games on your PC using a mouse and keyboard thanks to the beta-version programme. Google promised at the end of last year that Google Play Games would be available on PC in 2022, and in January the company began testing the software in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan (and later in Australia and Thailand). Google claims the minimum requirements for the app include a computer running Windows 10 or later, an SSD with 10GB of free space, an Intel UHD Graphics 630 or equivalent GPU, a CPU with four physical cores, and 8GB of RAM. You can go on playing your game on another device because your progress will sync between your Android and PC devices.

According to The Verge, there are 85 games available on Google Play, but Google intends to add more. Just Dance Now, WWE SuperCard, and Cookie Run: Kingdom are all on the schedule. Those are certainly noteworthy games, but Netflix and Apple Arcade likely have more potent offerings. The initiative to make Google Play Games available on Windows is independent of Microsoft’s push to make Android apps available on Windows 11. (which features apps from the Amazon Appstore). Google created the Google Play Games app, for starters. Maybe Google’s game endeavour will succeed better than Stadia did.
