Twitter is now bringing NFT listings to the platform


Similar to Facebook and Instagram, Twitter may eventually implement NFT integration. The now-Elon Musk-owned website has unveiled an experimental feature that, provided the NFT listings are from one of its partner marketplaces, prominently displays NFT listings when users tweet links to them. A huge image of the digital artwork is shown alongside its title and creator on an NFT Tweet Tile, as the business calls it. Additionally, it features a button that directs viewers to the marketplace page where they may buy it or post their own treasures for sale.

Currently, Twitter has four partners: the multi-chain NFT marketplace Rarible, the marketplace Magic Eden, which focuses on Solana and Etherium, Dapper Labs (the company behind Top Shot), and Jump.trade, where customers would go to purchase digital cricket collectibles. According to Twitter’s statement, “some” of the links from those four will appear as NFT Tweet Tiles for individuals selected to take part in the test. According to Decrypt, the marketplaces include Flow, Polygon, and Tezos among other blockchain networks.

According to the business, the integration is being tested “with select Twitter users across iOS and the web” and is not just available to Blue paid subscribers. Prior to now, paying Twitter users had access to another test feature that let them link their accounts to their cryptocurrency wallets. They can then use an NFT as their profile photo, which will appear with an emblem showing that they are the legal owner of the digital work.
