We’ll soon learn what Apple has in store for us at its major yearly iPhone event, which is just a few days away. The rumour mill is still running in the interim. The iPhone 14 Pro is rumoured to have dual hole-punch cutouts, according to the most recent information. A portion of the screen will be blacked out by Apple to fill the space between the cutouts, giving the impression of a single “wide pill-shaped cutout.” What Apple appears to be planning to do with that portion of the display is also intriguing.

According to rumours, the iPhone 14 Pro will relocate the privacy indications for the microphone and camera to that opening. These indicators will appear to be more prominent between the cutouts rather than just displaying a little orange dot in the top-right corner when the microphone is active and a green dot when the camera is engaged. The signs on Apple’s could resemble those on the MacBook, which display a green indicator anytime an app uses the camera. Additionally, the iPhone 14 Pro would be able to concurrently display privacy indicators for the camera and microphone, but on present versions, only a green dot is shown when both are in operation.

The flash and Live Photo buttons will likely move to the top of the screen as part of Apple’s makeover of the Camera app. The hole-punch perforations could reveal more photo and video settings below them. According to 9to5Mac, these adjustments aren’t set in stone, which might be a good thing as users might not want to cover much of the display with their palm while adjusting photo and video settings.
